Anno named himself after the hero of this book.

As well as Anno's Journey, the author Mitsumasa Anno wrote many other books, including Anno's Britain, Anno's USA, and Anno's Italy, so when we came to decide
on a name for the project we were setting
up in his memory, 'Anno's Africa' seemed
the obvious choice.

We hope this project will give other children
some of the opportunities Anno had to explore their creativity, and that it will help them
on their journey.
